Media is a quaint borough in Delaware County and also serves as the county seat. With eclectic shopping, restaurants, and an exceptionally walkable downtown area, it’s easy to see why Media proudly proclaims itself as “Everybody’s Hometown”. Each April, Media hosts Media Restaurant Week, with many local restaurants offering special menus. Also of note is Media’s Dining Under the Stars series, where one evening each summer week the downtown area is closed to traffic, and restaurants offer outdoor seating for all to enjoy. One of Carmine’s favorite places to check out is the Sterling Pig Brewery, just on the edge of downtown. Housed in a vintage building, this industrial bar/eatery offers unique house microbrews, small bites, and wood-fired pizzas. In the mood for some entertainment? Rose Tree Park hosts an annual Summer Festival, a series of free outdoor live entertainment, in the scenic outdoor amphitheater. With all the area has to offer, it’s easy to see why so many want to call Media home.
